Set in rural Aberdeenshire by the historic mountain, Bennachie, the 40 acre park offers enough to entertain the whole family for a full day and a great starting point for anyone interested in the fascinating and diverse prehistory of the area.
The park has several reconstructions of buildings from the Stone Age to the Iron Age along with its own stone circle, henge and Roman marching camp and the remains of a farmstead that’s around 2,500 years old. Staff are on hand, in full period costume, to lead a wide variety of hands on activities such as Roman marching drill, Iron Age cooking, felt making, ancient fire lighting skills, bushcraft or archery (to name a few!). Ancient crafts are also demonstrated by staff and visiting specialists, for example bronze axe casting or flint knapping and visiting re-enactment groups relive the excitement or ancient warfare.

Archaeolink is now famed for its final event of the year, Wickerman, a day of all things spooky and scary culminating in the burning of a 40-foot high Wickerman as dusk falls. The event has specifically attracted visitors from as far afield as Japan!
